Kappa Phi Lambda (ΚΦΛ) is an Asian-interest (but NOT Asian-exclusive) sorority, and the only Asian-interest sorority on Columbia University's campus! Founded in 1995 at Binghamton University, Kappa Phi Lambda is one of the largest and fastest-growing Asian-interest sororities in the nation, with 35 active chapters and colonies and over 4100 sisters. As sisters, we are passionate about our sorority’s three pillars: sisterhood, service, and cultural diversity, and strive for academic excellence, personal growth, and positively impacting our community.
⋆˚⁂✯⋆ WHAT IS RUSH? ⋆˚⁂✯⋆
Recruitment (or “rush”) is a two-week period full of events for prospective members to learn about our sorority! It is the perfect opportunity to get to know our sisters, learn more about our values, or simply relax and enjoy fun activities and delicious food. Rush is completely FREE and non-binding, making recruitment a great way to get to know people on campus and have fun!
⋆˚⁂✯⋆ WHAT IS A BID, AND HOW DO I GET ONE? ⋆˚⁂✯⋆
A bid is a formal invitation to you to begin the new member education process for our sorority. To be eligible to interview for a bid, you MUST attend 1 GIM (General Interest Meeting) and at least 2 other events!
